ESPER: The Thirty-First
ESPER Files, case designation "The Thirty First."
Case Opened: October 30th, 1984
The older son of a single mother of two goes missing two weeks before Halloween, and neither local police nor the FBI have responded to her pleas for help. A contact within the FBI contacts ESPER, the society for Extraordinary Supernatural Phenomena Explored and Revealed, and a lone agent is dispatched to discover what happened to the boy before it's too late.
An interactive horror adventure made in Twine. Part of the ESPER universe, which includes The Occultist series of point and click adventures. Made for Choose Your Own Halloween Jam, it is very loosely based on real events from the ESPER case files. The actual stories took place in a number of different eras, so the dates in the stories are all over the place, but with the last update of the ESPER Horror TTRPG the official ESPER timeline has been clarified. This story is around the right time, but was released originally before the official timeline was set.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's the only text adventure in the series so far (there's one long-lost one, but we don't talk about that one!), but there are quite a few entries in the ESPER series for you to try out!
